Implementing a contactless sign in process in your workplace

A lot of new concepts have been introduced to the workplace over the past year; one of those being contactless processes. More organisations are looking to make as many processes as possible touch-free, such as payments and visitor/staff check-ins. Hygiene is at the forefront of everyone’s minds and that’s going to be heightened as we all start preparing to return to the workplace.

We’ve talked about contactless sign in quite frequently here in our blogs; it was a term that was dropped into the visitor management space overnight and it’s quickly become a go-to solution for signing in visitors and staff. As we return to the workplace, having a seamless touch-free sign in process in place for your visitors, staff and contractors is going to be so important for health and safety and complying with new regulations.

Sign In App offers a range of different touch-free sign in options to provide you with a seamless visitor management and staff sign in solution. Below are a few of the ways you can utilise the app to implement contactless sign in processes into your organisation.

Contactless sign in

We’ll start with the most obvious, which is of course contactless sign in. Using their personal smartphone, visitors can scan a QR code displayed on your reception iPad and complete the full sign in process from their own device.

Our touch-free sign in process is completely secure, with the dynamic QR code changing frequently so it cannot be copied and used off site, and comes with the full flexibility of custom fields and enhanced messages and policies.

Sign In Points

Sign In Points works in the same way as our contactless sign in feature explained above, however it eliminates the need to have an iPad present, making it a great solution for venues with multiple entrances/exits or where an iPad wouldn’t be suitable.

A Sign In Point is a static QR code printed on a poster which you can display around your venue; you can print as many posters as you need to cover different entry/exit points and to help maintain social distancing in busy areas.

Companion app

For a touch-free check-in solution for your staff and contractors, our mobile app really will be your trusty companion. Companion app is available on iPhone and Android and allows staff members to sign in and out whether they’re on site or working remotely. There’s no need for them to interact with the iPad when they’re onsite, they can simply sign in on their phone while walking to their desk or walking out the door when they’re leaving for the day.

Sign In App Tap

For an alternative contactless check-in option for staff, we have Sign In App Tap. Tap is designed to be compatible with RFID technology you may already be using in your organisation. Staff can use their existing door access cards or fobs to tap in and out on our bespoke RFID reader.

Note: Sign In App Tap is an add-on which requires an upgrade to your existing Sign In App hardware. All details can be found here.
