Top tip: Creating questionnaires with custom fields
Throughout 2020, workplaces across the world have changed rapidly to adjust to circumstances beyond their control. Health and safety, in particular, has become more important than ever before for both staff and visitors in organisations.
Health questionnaires were something that used to only really be seen in certain industries such as manufacturing. However, they’re now becoming more frequently used in all types of businesses across all types of industries.
If you need to present questionnaires to your visitors or staff when they arrive at your organisation, are you still getting them to complete these on paper and then having to scurry around to find a place to file them? Why not use Sign In App instead?
Today’s top tip is all about showing you how to use Sign In App to present questionnaires to your visitors to help to streamline the visitor management process further.
Questionnaires can be built using custom fields and can be presented to visitors and staff when signing in on the iPad or using their personal smartphone device through contactless sign in. Version 2 of our mobile Companion app also supports questionnaires for staff/contractors using this to sign in on site or remotely.
How to create a questionnaire
- Open your online portal
- Click Manage > Manage site > Custom fields
- Add a custom field by clicking ‘Add new’
- Create your custom field using the form The answers to these questions can be sent to the host or a team within the organisation via email using advanced notifications. This really helps to streamline the sign in process while also enhancing your quality and safety procedures.
Along with visitor records, you can also export their responses to your questionnaires. To do this, click Reports > History > Export. You will then be prompted to select the relevant group and then tick the custom fields you would like to export.
