Used in combination with the ID Scanning feature, GuardDog Safety check will perform a real time search for name and address details from scanned IDs across an aggregate live database of all US State & National databases of registered sex offenders listed at Home | Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website
This database is updated every day and provides Nationwide coverage, with access to sex offender registries across 50 U.S. states, Washington D.C, and U.S. territories
As the GuardDog database check happens in real time, you have full control over how you respond to an ID match. You can choose to automatically deny the sign in, and/or notify a staff member or group for further action.
With every visit and failed check logged in your sign in portal, you will always have access to a clear audit trail helping with compliance and creating a safer environment for everyone on site.
To enable the GuardDog sex offender check, first ensure that you have enabled the ID Scanning feature for the same group (see above). Once ID Scanning is enabled, go to Manage > Groups > Select group > Sign in options > Safety check
Here you can enable the GuardDog search feature and choose the desired behaviour based on a positive ‘match’ result from the sex offender database lookup.
When the GuarDogSafety check feature is enabled, once an ID has been scanned, we will check if the details scanned from the ID match any entries in the sex offenders database in real time.
If the name and address details match any records, the safety check will fail the entry criteria and based on your settings for the group, the system will either reject or accept the sign in.
To send a notification to your staff when a GuardDog safety check has failed due to a database match, you can create a notification rule that will send a message by email, SMS, Slack, MS Teams or a webhook at Manage > Notifications > Add new
