Sign In App Tap uses a hardware-based RFID reader to capture the unique identifier (UID/serial number) from your existing access cards and fobs. That number is mapped to a staff profile in Sign In App, so every tap at the iPad signs the person in or out – without needing data from your access control system or a direct integration.

Yes. Tap is compatible with 98% of proximity technologies globally and supports over 90 different RFID formats. For certain encrypted card types, there’s a quick one-time enrollment step to register the card so it can be used for sign-in like any other credential.
