Supplemental Terms – SMS Messaging

These supplemental terms govern your use of the SMS messaging functionality available within your subscription (“SMS Features”). They form part of, and should be read alongside, our main Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”). Capitalised terms used but not defined on this page have the meaning given to them in the Agreement.

1. Permitted Use

1.1 The SMS Features are provided solely for legitimate visitor management purposes in connection with the operation of your site or premises. Acceptable uses include:

(a) Evacuation and emergency alerts sent to visitors, employees, or contractors who are currently or have recently checked in at your premises;
(b) Operational notifications directly related to a visitor’s attendance, including host notifications, arrival confirmations, and safety briefings; and
(c) Ad hoc site-wide alerts triggered by genuine operational or safety events.

2. Prohibited Use

2.1 You must not use the SMS Features for any of the following:

(a) Bulk or broadcast messaging unrelated to visitor management or site operations;
(b) Marketing, promotional, or commercial messaging of any kind;
(c) Sending messages to individuals who have not checked in at, or are not expected at, your premises;
(d) Automated or programmatic message generation at volumes inconsistent with genuine site activity; or
(e)Any use that violates applicable laws or regulations, including data protection and telecommunications legislation.

3. Fair Usage Policy (Unlimited SMS)

3.1 Where your account includes Unlimited SMS (whether through your Subscription tier or the Unlimited SMS add-on), we do not impose a fixed monthly message cap. However, use of the Unlimited SMS feature remains subject to this Fair Usage Policy in order to maintain service quality and availability for all customers.

3.2  We reserve the right to monitor SMS usage patterns to identify activity that falls outside normal visitor management operations. Where usage is deemed excessive or inconsistent with the intended purpose of the SMS Features, we may:

(a) Contact you to discuss your requirements and explore a suitable solution;
(b) Apply reasonable usage limits to your account; or
(c) In cases of material or repeated misuse, suspend or restrict access to the SMS Features.

3.3 We will always aim to engage with you before taking any restrictive action. However, we reserve the right to act immediately where necessary to protect the integrity of our service or to comply with our legal obligations.

4. Changes to These Terms

We may update these supplemental terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use of the SMS Features following notification of any changes will constitute your acceptance of the updated terms.
